California welcomes The World Skin Cancer Foundation
On the night of October 1st, 2008, The World Skin Cancer Foundation will be introducing ourselves to Southern California during our Kickoff party at the Carl Nolet Senior Hospitality Center in Laguna Niguel.
Vicki Dallas, Esq. of Rutan & Tucker, L.L.P. has put together a fantastic Advisory Board to head up the West Coast Division of The World Skin Cancer Foundation. Through special events, the group will be bringing the needed attention to the epidemic we all face today with skin cancer.
California has been in great need for education on the incredible problem we must face head on with skin cancer. The West Coast Chapter will continue the ways of the East Coast Chapter in that we will promote safer outdoor living.
As always, The World Skin Cancer Foundation wants you to enjoy the outdoors. We just want you to be educated on the habits and tools that will help you and your family have safer experiences while outdoors.
Historical vote aides The World Skin Cancer Foundation's efforts
With a unanimous vote, the Cocoa Beach City Council in Florida gave The World Skin Cancer Foundation the go ahead to start placing our sun safety sings up. All beach access boardwalks, city parks, boat ramps, golf courses and the sports complex have been cleared for us to proceed with our signage program. This was a historical vote because there have never been sun safety signs put up throughout a city in the United States.
Please contact us so we can start getting these very important signs up in your area. It will take the help of your local government so be prepared to approach them. There is no cost to them because we use sponsorship money to pay for them. Sponsors logo will be placed in the bottom left corner directly across from The World Skin Cancer Foundation logo.
Click on the link below if you have not seen the signs as of yet.
This great Q&A answers a lot of basic skin cancer questions.
